This is a parcel of top color Mexican Cherry Opal faceting rough for the lapidary. gem cutting. This parcel is 90 gms. 10 gm. minimum purchase at .00/gm. The piece size runs from 1.5 cts. to 2.4 cts. Average size is 2.0 cts.  not many pieces in the smallest size range.
These are all clipped clean. This Opal is light weight so the pieces are larger than the weight
suggests. The third photo shows a typical 10 gm. lot. The fourth photo shows a 4 ct. piece of Tourmaline next to about 2.3 ct. Opals. So you can judge the size. The typical 2 plus ct. piece measure 7 mm to 8 mm. really nice material. This is hard to come by as they cut most of the production in Mexico.
