Vintage Working Railroad Track Rail Lifting Tool
Original piece that came straight from a old school railroad track man, and I quote him on that.
Before the advent of more specialized machines steel rails were moved mostly by hand using tools just like this. As time went on the chain was added as gantry cranes and more modern piece were added to reduce work crews and the effort to replace damaged track.
